Ar. Shailesh Kumar

Ar. Shailesh Kumar is an experienced architect and design professional with expertise in planning, architecture, and allied fields. After completing his Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), he worked with a private MNC company where he gained valuable professional experience while simultaneously continuing his architectural practice and project exposure.
Over the years, he has worked across residential, commercial, interior, and planning projects, developing a strong understanding of design execution, space planning, and practical construction solutions.
He is associated with the Indian Institute of Architects (I.I.A) and is certified by the Indian Green Building Council (iGBC), reflecting his commitment toward sustainable and responsible architecture. Through Global Architects, he continues to create thoughtful and functional spaces that combine modern aesthetics with practical design approaches.

Six Principles That
Guide Every Decision
01 — Place
Architecture is geography made visible
Every building we design begins with the land it will stand on. The slope, the sun path, the prevailing breeze, the view — these are not constraints, they are the design.
02 — People
Buildings are for living, not looking
We spend hours understanding how our clients live before we draw a single line. Architecture that does not serve its inhabitants is sculpture, not architecture.
03 — Light
Light is the first material
Before concrete, before glass, before timber — we design with light. How does morning enter? Where does afternoon pool? What does dusk do to this wall?
04 — Honesty
Materials deserve to be themselves
We do not paint concrete to look like marble or cover steel in cladding. Every material we use is expressed honestly — its texture, its grain, its age, its truth.
05 — Craft
Details are not decoration — they are design
The junction between a concrete wall and a timber floor. The shadow gap beneath a cabinet. These are the moments where architecture becomes craft, and craft becomes art.
06 — Time
Great buildings age beautifully
We choose materials and forms that improve with time — that develop patina, character, and meaning as decades pass. Architecture should outlive its architects.

Interior Design Lead
NID Ahmedabad graduate. Leads the interior design vertical with a philosophy of material honesty and human-centred space planning.
How We Work
Our Process in Full
Discovery &
Listening
The first meeting is never in the office. We visit the site, walk the land, sit with the family at the time of day they love most. We ask about the morning light, about the tree they cannot remove, about the view from the kitchen window they have always dreamed of. Only when we understand how you want to live do we begin to think about architecture.
4–8 weeks
Concept Design
Hand sketches first — always. We present three distinct concepts, each a different interpretation of the brief. No renders yet. Drawings and models only — so the conversation stays about ideas, not finishes.
6–10 weeks
Design Development
The chosen concept is developed in full detail. Materials are selected, structural system resolved, MEP integrated. 3D models and detailed drawings presented. Every detail drawn by hand before it is built.
8–14 weeks
Approvals & Tendering
We handle all statutory approvals — MDDA, municipal, structural NOC. We prepare tender documents and help select a contractor. We believe the right contractor is as important as the right design.
8–16 weeks
Construction
We are on site. Every week, without exception. We review work, resolve issues, make decisions. Architecture is made during construction — in the gap between drawing and reality, that is where craft happens.
12–24 months
Handover & Beyond
We visit every completed project six months and one year after handover. We want to know: does the light do what we intended? Are you living the way you dreamed? This is not business — it is accountability.
